Deformations in captive breed loricariine are known for several species of this subfamily. Most susceptible seems to be offsprings of species of the genus Loricaria. There are a lot of explanations for the appearance of deformations:
Quality of the water
Chemistry of the water
Inadequate nutrition
Raising with insufficient individual space
Artificial raising
We try to prove these assumptions and develop methods to avoid deformations.
